Hi! My name is Amber and I love to make things and to sew!  I grew up watching my mom and grandma sew but didn’t do much myself.

Eventually, when I was pregnant with my first baby, I bought myself a sewing machine, pattern and some fabric and I started sewing!

It was a pretty frustrating experience,- sewing buttonholes the wrong way and pants with the crotch at the knee- but I kept at it. The seam ripper was a most excellent tool in those days! The prospect of finishing each project I started kept me going and I continued to improve.  

I know that if I who was terrible at  following instructions and reading patterns could learn to sew a variety of things on my own that you can too!

I love quick and easy to sew projects like bags and pillows and quilts. I’m also fascinated with learning new techniques and creating patterns. So as I continue to learn to sew all sorts of things, I will share my processes with you.

I want you to enjoy sewing and creating your own things as much as I do!  Imagine creating your own purse exactly how you want it! Even clothing and simple gifts for friends and family.
